Family-owned and operated, Beechwood Builders has been serving the Sarasota County area for three decades. Husband and wife Jeff and Jeanette Gates founded the company in 1990 and have been growing it ever since.
Jeff and Jeanette live on the island of Venice with their 120-pound Catahoula Leopard dog, Caiman. They have two daughters, Jillian and Jacqueline. The family is fond of traveling, good barbecue and names that start with J.
Beechwood Builders owes much of its success to its long-term connections to its local community. Co-owners Jeff and Jeanette Gates have been part of the Sarasota County area for decades. They are long-time supporters of numerous charities and civic organizations ranging from Suncoast Charities for Children to the Sertoma Club of Venice. They are also major organizers for the Suncoast BBQ Bash, one of the largest barbecue competitions and blue grass festivals in the southeastern United States.
While continuing to help run the company’s operations, Jeanette served as a city council member for the City of Venice for nine years.
